It's the best offer for the price range with the given specifications. Cons - 1. Slower HDD as compared to the other specs. 2. Little bit heavy and delicate. I don't recommend it if you travel with a laptop very often. 3. The speakers aren't upto the mark. But I won't find it as an issue as I use headphones. 4. Backlit of keyboard can't be adjusted. It's just ON and OFF. 5.. Build isn't appealing. It looks bit older model. 6. If you are a serious gamer, I would recommend i5 7300HQ and 1050Ti variation. 7. You will get only 90GB out of 128GB SSD, as OS is installed on SSD. 8. It would have been better if a headphone jack was to the left, I find it bit problematic while I am using mouse. Pros - 1. 7700HQ is the beast and provided with 16 GB RAM 2. SSD helps in fast booting. 6-7 seconds only. 3. Graphics card GTX1050 is pretty much enough for basic work. 4. Keyboard and touchpad is good.

the laptops performance is excellent as expected. just that the built quality of the screen is a bit poor. other than that everything is fine. BUT ONE THING TO TELL, FLIPKARTS PACKAGING WAS TERRIBLE.

This is a very good laptop considering the specs. I am delighted with the experience so far. I am keying in my comments after 10 days of usage. Subject to edits later on. Pros: 1. Good 1080p HD display for the value with decent brightness and good build design overall. 2. Decent performance with 16GB RAM and core i7 processor. 3. Steady FPS with GTX1050 for demanding games like witcher 3, Arkham knight in medium to low graphics settings in full hd resolution. 4. Sound quality is quite clear. Really good for watching movies, media content and gaming with no compromise to sound quality. Thanks to Dolby premium. 5. Cool boost and blue shield reduction are really good to have features from Acer. 6. Windows 10 in 128 GB SSD ensures fast booting and shutting down say 4-5 seconds. Cons: 1. No laptop bag or any other accessories provided. 2. Somewhat attractive for fingerprint smudges. 3. Some say that interior thermal design with two fans located close to each other is not an apt design for gaming laptops as it is good to have fans in two ends to ensure sufficient cooling. So I am not putting my laptop to strain initially. Playing most games in HD resolution with low to medium graphics settings. So no issues in FPS or heating so far. So this is a general observation I am putting in as con for other buyers to choose as per their liking if thermal design is a factor. General verdict - For a frequent business traveller who does casual gaming occasionally, but seriously though and focuses on multimedia content during leisure time, this Acer Nitro 5 is an ideal pick considering the price value. Edit 1- 1.Battery backup with 10% brightness, coolboost off, WiFi on, battery optimization feature turned on and keeping the screen on doing some casual stuff, the laptop lasts for 2-3 hours maximum. When gaming it lasts around 45 minutes to an hour. 2. Switching off the power supply when gaming, instantly reduces the fps from 60 to 25, due to Nvidia power optimization setting. 3. Surprisingly no heating at all when gaming with coolboost on. Cpu temperature when gaming reaches 67 to 75°C and GPU temp steadily under 65°C, when running games like witcher 3 , assassins Syndicate in low graphics at 1080p resolution. FPS is easily between 55-60 with such low graphics settings in 1080p.

This isn't a Laptop...Its a Superhero Amazing High Speed, Graphics Mind Blowing, I dont have words to express how cool this stuff is. But Yes Its a "Delicate Darling ;-)" Must Go for this laptop Dont have second Thought. Secondly You need a bag which fits this laptop as I saw bags from 1K-10K but it doesnt fits in even if bag companies mentions. So its preferable not to buy bag online as I even checked a bag for 17" but this monster didnt went inside

This was a pre-order. Item was delivered on launch day itself (Aug 1, 2017 ). Purchased against exchange of an old laptop ( ₹12,000 off ). Most loaded spec for the price point : 16 gb Ram, 128 GB SSD, 1 TB HDD, i7, Geforce GTX w/4 GB graphics , Win 10 home ) . You will need to connect a separate optical drive - should you ever need one. Initial impressions : 1) Laptop's lid has a glossy finish and is a smudge magnet. 2) Boot up: Windows being on the SSD, boot up time is close to 5 seconds ( measured on a stopwatch ). 3) Battery life with display brightness set to 100% - with casual browsing and streaming AV was a little over 3 hours. Will edit this note after extensive use.
