A quick look at the Lenovo Legion Y530 gaming laptop

When you’re buying a new gaming laptop, performance is something that is definitely high on your list. Design usually takes a back seat. However, with the new Lenovo Legion Y530 laptop, performance and smart design go hand-in-hand.

The first thing one will notice about the Lenovo Legion Y530 is the design. The laptop sports a matte black finish for the most part, with the exception being the metallic lid featuring a ribbed finish. A neat little feature is the Legion logo, which lights up when the laptop is turned on.

However, once you get beyond its looks, you’ll notice that the laptop is pretty smartly designed. The hinge on the laptop allows it to be laid flat on its back. Speaking of the back, Lenovo has also designed the Legion so that most of the ports are located on the rear. This ensures that the wires don’t jutt out from the side of the laptop. However, users do get 1 USB 3.0 port on either side, if they want to connect a peripheral.

However, The Legion Y530 is a gaming laptop at heart and lenovo hasn't forgotten that. The laptop is offered with up to an Intel Core i7-8750H and with up to an Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti graphics. In terms of RAM, the laptop offers users 8GB DDR4 RAM, with the option of upgrading it all the way up to 32GB. Of course, no good laptop is complete with an impressive display and with the Legion Y530, you get a 15-inch full HD IPS anti-glare display. It also features a white backlit keyboard with 1.7mm of key travel.

As one can see, the Lenovo Legion Y530 is a device that will not only let you work hard, but also play hard.
