Honestly Sony X9500 is little poor in terms of overall performance LG SM9000 is Excellent

After 8 months of research and waiting for a perfect deal, got this for 1L. Cons: Blacks are not great. But, it's a conscious choice as I'm still worried about the burn-ins of OLED. But the shining black of OLEDs are hmmm... Limited apps for webOs. But all critical apps are covered. Pros : Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos are amazing. That's the reason the QLED is went out of list. Very bright pictures. No Color Bleeding. IPS panel gives a good viewing angle and good for my bright living room. Cinema mode is good. Sounds are better. You can delay buying an Dolby Atmos Soundbar for a long time. Sony 9500 is extremely close in all factors and better in some factors. But end of the day, 40K is a huge difference for slightly better.

I bought this from an LG Brand store 2 weeks ago. I had put in 2 months of research before deciding to buy LG SM9000 65 inch. Despite of all my research, I am a little disappointed. Here is my analysis I had Sony MasterclassTriluminous series and Samsung QLED also in my shortlist. But I did not go with Sony because it comes with Android. And If you do not accept Googles Privacy terms, you cannot use the TV. Sony, in my opinion is way better than this LG OLDENanoCell respectively. I wish they did not force Android on us. Samsung QLED too is great! But they dont support Dolby Vision. Most of the content available is Dolby Vision. I dont want to buy an expensive TV on which I cannot fully enjoy the picture quality because it does not support it. This was a show stopper for me. Otherwise, everything else about Samsung design is awesome. The oneconnect box is a brilliant idea. Now coming to LG NanoCell SM9000 - The TV shines when displaying bright pictures. It is as good as OLED. No questions about it. - However, the Full Array Local Dimming sucks. It sucks so much, that it feels like a cheap Chinese TV set. There are only 4 local dimming zones horizontally. Imagine dividing the 65 inch TV width into 4 equal parts, that is how big each zone it. Even if it has to display a white dot, it has to light up the entire zone. This is the reason the TV sucks in displaying dark scenes. Thought I had read about this but I thought I may not notice it once I get the TV home as there is no OLED to compare it with. But I was wrong. My 10 year old Sony LCD did a better job than this TV. I am deeply disappointed. As one of the professional reviewer mentioned, this is probably a tactic used by LG to push customers to upgrade to OLED. I am kind of convinced that may be he was right. LG surely can do a better job. Another negative is, there are hardly any apps available for WebOS. You get the popular ones - Netflix, Prime, Hotstar, Zee. But then nothing beyond. Not even SonyLiv is available. This sucks. But I cant blame anyone for this because it was my choice to not buy an Android TV. So I will live with this limitation. Possibly connect an Apple TV or FireTV Stick to the TV and avoid using WebOS apps altogether. Hardware spec wise, this is probably the only TV brand supporting HDMI 2.1. There are some other nice little things about the WebOS. I am yet to explore what else I can do with it. I have not been able to activate HomeKit on the TV yet. It keeps throwing errors. I paid 183000- for the 65 inch mode. And it came with an LG SL6Y Sound Bar MRP 30000-, retails for 20000-. Bought on September 30, 2019.

Lg is the only manufacturer in india which has Apple HomeKit and Airplay 2 support unlike Samsung has only airplay 2 support. If you want Homekit support you have to go with LG 2019 TV models only. Those who don't have idea about Apple HomeKit and Airplay 2 support, here this review for you -Apple HomeKit This features allows Siri to control your tv like turning onoff volume controls and much more as similar to Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. and you can control by your iOS device or Mac OS Devices. This feature is only for Apple ecosystem -Airplay 2 This is like Chrome cast. You can cast videos, play songs, view Photos, pdf presentation and even mirror your mobile screen to your TV. You can also Wirelessly add multiple Airplay devices to play same content. For example if you have any Airplay 2 Supported wireless speaker means. You can make use of both Tv speaker and Airplay speaker for Audio Output Difference between HomeKit and Airplay 2 is in Homekit you can control TV using mobile. In Airplay 2 you can view or play files Thats what Samsung lags, It only has Airplay 2 support. Apart From Homekit Support This is will be best Tv in the market. Its Nanocell technology is simply awesome. black are almost Black as OLED. There No Doubt that LG is Making the best TVs in the Market LG WEB OS is the one of the best TV os which is Simple and easy to use Its also has HDMI 2.1 which will not seen in other TVs in this price. HDMI 2.1 means its a future Proof in connectivity. And with rightfully placed all HDMI inputs 4 input in Side panel. unlike other manufacturers they place two in sides remaining in the back which is not easy to access. Dolby Atmos is a great addition. And with 100mhz referesh rate this will be the best tv for your gaming purpose. Over all this will best Tv for all in one entertainment Purpose
