Reliance Jio's free voice calls and unlimited data offer has put pressure on major telecom service providers in India. With Reliance Jio extending its free service till March 31, major telecom providers are gunning to battle it with their own offers.
Airtel is introducing two new plans to its myPlan Infinity offer which combine affordability with unlimited service. The new plans priced at Rs 549 and Rs 799 offer unlimited local and STD calls, unlimited incoming calls on roaming, monthly subscription to Wynk Music and Movies and 100 local and STD messages per day.
The Rs 549 plan gives 3GB 4G data per month while the Rs 799 plan offers 5GB 4G data. Airtel says these plans offer extra data if you own a 4G smartphone. Airtel has also updated the Rs 1,199 plan which continues to offer unlimited outgoing calls while roaming along with 10GB data on 4G network. Readers must note Airtel is only offering 1GB and 3GB data if you are using a 3G handset.
