Nikon Coolpix AW130 is a lightweight and compact 16 Megapixel Point and Shoot camera, that can be used in severe conditions as it is Waterproof (down to 30 m/100 ft), shockproof (to a drop of 2.1 m/7 ft) , freezeproof (down to -10°C/14°F) and dustproof. It is powered by Expeed C2 image processing engine, 1/2.3-inch backside illumination CMOS Sensor and NIKKOR lens with 5x optical zoom and 10x Dynamic Fine Zoom so that you can capture amazingly high quality images even on a close-up. All the above features guarantee high quality sharp images with minimized noise. It supports aperture range from f2.8 to f4.9, ISO sensitivity of 125 to 1600 ( making it easier to take shots in low light conditions), 4x digital zoom and a  3 inch wide viewing angle OLED touch monitor with anti-reflection coating, and 5-level brightness adjustment and approximately 921k-dot resolution that always gives a sharp output.

Nikon Coolpix AW130 records high definition videos instantly, with a resolution of 1080 x 720 pixels and the 5-axis Hybrid Vibration Reduction ensures sharp stills even if you are shooting in extremely rugged conditions. It is incorporated with Time-Lapse Movie feature that creates video montages of your thrills and Short Movie Show function that allows you to create short movies from stills and videos. The Autofocus system with speed of approximately 0.14 sec. at wide angle quickly and accurately adjusts focus so you won’t miss your subject. It comes packed with several new image enhancement options like the new Glamour Mode (to augment your skin tone),  Selective Softening (to blur the background and put your subject in focus) and Self-collage ( puts multiple images into one montage as you snap away).

Nikon Coolpix AW130 supports built in flash, self timer, auto focus, High speed USB, Mechanical and CMOS electronic shutter, Micro HDMI and 473MB internal memory that can be expanded with the use of SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards. This intelligent camera comes with built-in GPS that lets you keep track of your location. Nikon Coolpix AW130 supports built in Wifi and NFC capabilities, so you can instantly transfer pictures from your camera to your smartphone wirelessly.  It comes with a high-speed USB connector which can be used as an audio or video output connector.
