In Aarya Season 2, the leading character Aarya Sareen faces chaos in her life after the death of her husband. What’s more, Aarya is forced to return to India, with Shekhawat’s father waiting to avenge his death. The Russian mafia is also after her life for a missing 300 crore drug assignment.
Aarya is attacked in the security safe house and has to run for her life and her family’s security. The beautiful and selfless emotion of a mother who is fierce and will do anything to protect her family is shown in the show but with thrilling twists. 1. An official adaptation of the Dutch series Penoza. Coincidentally, Actor Alexx O'Nell is a Dutch Citizen who dubbed and later promoted the series from his home in the Netherlands.
2. The project was first planned as a movie in 2009. Kajol was signed in the lead with Ajay Devgan producing it. Kajol later dropped out and Kareena Kapoor was reading the script. The project got shelved .
3. Ram Madhvani had Aishwarya Rai, Manisha Koirala & Tabu in mind for titular role 'Aarya'. He first approached Aishwarya, got no for reply, and suddenly film critic Rajeev Masand in his show interviewed Sushmita Sen in one of the episodes of 'Women we love',Ram saw the show & decided to settle on with Sushmita instead.

6. According to the director Ram Madhvani a team of 50 people worked on the post production 18 hours a day and had connected through Zoom or Google, Due to the COVID-19 lockdown in India. Chats for the collaboration and lags had been a big issue for them to judge the sound correctly. Dubbing has been also a major issue according to Madhvani as the cast were scattered through out the globe. Jayant Kripalani was in Kolkata dubbing for his role during Amphan Cyclone, Namit Das dubbed at 3 am when all his dogs were quiet, Alexx O'Nell dubbed from Mumbai, then from his quarantine location outside Amsterdam, and finally from his home on the Dutch coast.
7. Sushmita Sen won best actress award for the series.
8. Jawahar's wife's name in the series is Maya. Jawahar is played by Namit Das who has also played the titular character in 'Sumit Sambhal Lega'. Coincidentally, in this series also, his character's wife name is Maya.
9. The show premiered on Hotstar on 19 June 2020, concurrent with the launch of Disney+ in India through its corporate sibling.
10. As the show was scheduled for June 2020 release, makers had two months for post production work to be completed. However on March 2020, India entered lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. All the editing, VFX, sound mixing and dubbing has been done from team's respective homes.
11. Ram Madhvani wanted to make it into a film but it did not work and he went ahead to make Neerja 2016.But four years later made Arya into a web series.
12. Namit Das and Maya Sarao played husband and wife in Aakhon Dekhi(2014) as well.
13. Jayant Kripalani and Sugandha Garg also worked in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (2008). She played his daughters friend in both the projects.
