Portronics has launched Androview HD POR 316, a pico projector for Android that fits in the palm of the hand. According to the company, the integrated battery design reflects a ‘perfect combination of the high end Android tablet and a pico projector’.
The Portronics Androview pico projector supports 1080p HD videos and uses LCOS with RGB LED technology for improved colour reception. Androview features integrated Wi-Fi, and a built-in storage of 8GB expandable to 32GB. It runs on the Android OS (version unspecified) and has access to the Google Play store. It also features support for wireless keyboards, wireless mouse.
The Androview projector features dual USB ports, component AV, HDMI, mini OTG-USB, and earphone ports. Its built-in rechargeable battery is rated to deliver 90 minutes of continuous video play. It is powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 Rockchip RK2918 processor. Androview, as a wireless projector, supposedly helps users consume content without the need of any computing device.
The Androview projector is powered by a 50 lumens lamp, and can project widescreen images of up to 80-inches in diagonal. The projector has a contrast ratio of 500: 1, and a resolution of 1024x600 pixels. It also has an integrated 2W speaker. According to the company, it works great with video games and can also be used on the professional front for presenting your business presentations.
Priced at Rs. 28,999, the Portronics POR 316 Androview is available across the country. The projector apparently has no maintenance cost.
