A Lenovo executive has also confirmed that the phone will sport a 6.39-inch display.
Lenovo is prepping for the launch of its next Z-Series phone, the Lenovo Z6, in China. Ahead of the launch, Lenovo Group Vice President, Chang Cheng has shared key specifications of the device. He shared an image in which we can see a list of phones with their dimensions and weight. The Executive also confirmed that the phone will draw power from a 4000mAh battery and it will be the lightest phone to house a battery of this capacity.
The first thing that gets cleared from the image is the display size. Cheng confirmed that the Lenovo Z6 will come equipped with a 6.39-inch display, however, there is no information whether it’ll sport a waterdrop notch like the Z6 Pro, or a pop-up mechanism. Further, the list mentions that the Z6 has a profile of 7.97mm, which is marginally thicker than the 7.88mm sported by the Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition.
In addition, the list mentions that the Lenovo Z6 weighs 159 grams, followed by the Lenovo Z6 Youth that measures 164 grams. To shed the weight, Lenovo claims to have used the Rollcage design of the ThinkPad laptops in the Lenovo Z6. The company claims that the Lenovo Z6 has a durable and drop-proof 6000-series aluminum frame. In addition to this, the Z6 has nano-coating for much more durability. The company also claims that the back panel of the phone has 10 layers of NCVM vacuum nano-coating that gives it a 3D effect.
This is not the first time that Cheng has outed the specs of the smartphone. He recently confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 730 SoC. The CPU will be clocked at 2.2GHz and is touted to deliver 35 percent improved performance over its predecessor. It is also confirmed to come equipped with Game Turbo tech, which is a tool that aids in delivering an ‘enhanced’ gaming performance. It does so by clearing background processes and freeing up some memory. The phone is expected to sport a three rear cameras.
