The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT will be available for pre-order on January 15 and the first sale will be on January 24.

Amid a lot of claims from several smartphone manufacturers, Lenovo has emerged as the first company to launch world’s first smartphone with the latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. Called the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT, it is also the first device to have 12GB RAM. According to Lenovo China’s website, the pre-booking of the smartphone will begin on January 15 and it will go on sale from January 24.

Lenovo announced the phone after it launched the its first triple camera phone, the Lenovo Z5s, in China. The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT has same design but gets some extra elements, like the back panel is protected by glass with a carbon imitating pattern and there are red accents on the top rim, the rear camera sensors, and the bottom half of the slider. The other specs of the phone remain unchanged from the Lenovo Z5 Pro.

There are four variants of the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT. The first variant offers 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and is priced at CNY 2,698 (approx Rs 27,700). The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 2,998 (approx Rs 30,800), the third one with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs CNY 3,398 (approx Rs 41,100) and the top variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at CNY 4,398 (approx Rs 45,100).

Lenovo Z5 Pro GT specifications

The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT features a 6.39-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 1080×2340 pixels resolution. As mentioned, it is powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC, which is based on 7nm process. It runs on ZUI 10.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie. The smartphone packs a 3,350mAh battery.

In the camera department, the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT has dual rear camera setup with 16MP Sony IMX519 sensor having an f/1.8 aperture and a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor along with an f/1.8 aperture. There is a dual-tone LED flash below the centrally aligned camera module. The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT also has a dual camera setup on the front that with a 16MP shooter with an f/2.2 aperture and a secondary 8MP IR sensor for Face Unlock functionality.
