Airtel takes on Jio's "Cricket Play Along Festival", offers free streaming of IPL 2018 via Airtel TV app

The app will stream the Vivo IPL 2018 matches via Hotstar and users will also be able to follow their favourite teams, check leaderboards, and more.

Bharti Airtel has announced that their users will be able to live stream the upcoming Vivo IPL 2018 matches for free via the Airtel TV app. The app will stream the matches and highlights from Hotstar and comes with a dedicated cricket section, which offers “a highly curated and interactive content experience to go with all the LIVE action.” It should be noted that the feature is available with the latest version of Airtel TV app and users will be able to follow their favourite teams, check leaderboards, be updated with ongoing matches and take a look at the upcoming schedule from the app. The app will display scorecard notifications to keep the users updated on scores and there are also interactive games and contests where one can win prizes as well.

Now, Airtel TV app users will not miss out on even a moment of LIVE action from the biggest cricketing extravaganza and can enjoy it on go wherever they are.” As mentioned above, this IPL series will be streamed on the Airtel TV app via Hotstar, however, the app also sources media from other streaming platforms like Sony LIV, Hooq, and more. The new offer from Airtel comes soon after Reliance Jio announced their "Jio Cricket Play Along Festival". The telco also introduced a new Cricket Season recharge priced at Rs 251 and is offering its users 102GB of high speed 4G data for 51 days. Using the MyJio app, one can also play-along and participate in a contest for winning prizes like a "premium" house in Mumbai, cash prizes, 25 cars, and more.
