The Mi Air Purifier 2 cleans PM2.5 and other particulate matter up to 0.3~0.5 microns. It has three layers, consisting of a primary filter, EPA Filter and activated carbon filter, to clean various particles such as dust, pollen and fibres, human hair and more. Xiaomi claims that the Mi Air Purifier can circulate and clean the air in a 750-square feet room in about 20 minutes. The Mi Home app that controls the purifier gives real time data on air quality index (AQI). Once setup, you can interact with the purifier from anywhere you wish as long as it’s switched on. App support for an IoT-enabled air purifier with basic filters makes it quite an attractive option at this price.

I got it today. What to say about this apart from the fact its not working. Just throwing same air back. I installed it in my room and it showed a rating for 10 , 9 , and 8 in my house. Its hard to believe these ratings when u live in delhi when outside AQI is around 350 to 450. So I took it outside and it still showed me between 8 and 10. I wasnt sure so I burned some papers near this purifier still the rating was 8 so I was sure that it wasnt working. Do not buy this product and do not trust the AQI in the app.
Sleek and good looking. The PM number displayed by sensor vs that measured by a professional device is way off! Same is the rate of decrease in PM. The sensor may also be misreading due to proximity (on the) to device. Performance so far looks good. Easy to setup and control through phone. It is extremely efficient in keeping odour away. Other aspects, too early to judge.
After I used it for 10 days, I understood and realized what is dust pollution in house when I open the filter There fore if you or if you are kids suffering from asthma or mild cough or kind of allergic condition... It's could help some what to clean the air in ur bedroom.. So you can give a try
Product is good, smartly designed and works as advertised. However, I am worried about supply of replacement filters, hence only 4 stars. Strangely, replacement filters are not available on Flipkart. Xiomi does not deliver at my location.
After reading a lot about the adverse effects of air pollution and going through a loads of reviews, finally decided to purchase one. Choosing between the ones available in market MI air purifier stood out. Have been using it for a month now and am satisfied with the results. Ordered it in Big Billion days and it was delivered the next day. Full marks to Flipkart for prompt delivery. This is what Apple would have designed if they were into Air purifiers. Aesthetically its the best in market. Clean, simple and contemporary design which would make it fit into any living room. The setup was swift and didn't took more than a minute after installing the MI Home app and hooking the device with wifi router. It will work without wifi but you won't be able to control the device with mobile nor will be able to see real time PM 2.5 levels. Your mobile will act like a remote for controlling the device. It has 3 modes Auto, Sleep and favourite. Auto mode adapts the speed of the fan according to the dust levels in the room but is generally noisy. Its ultra quite in sleep mode which is the ideal mode in which it should be running once the desired dust level is reached. In Fav mode you can tune the fan setting according to your needs. I have been using it in notoriously polluted Delhi NCR and it brings air quality to 70 levels from 350 in under an hour in my 13*12ft room. I think its sensor can detect PM 2.5 levels upto 600 which was the case after Diwali during which it took continuous running in auto mode to keep the levels down as Sleep mode proved ineffective. Air purifiers are most effective if rooms are properly insulated and there are least air leakages. Although I can't physically make out a difference if its actually making a difference but it should prove beneficial in the long run. Filter replacement is a whisk and they can be bought from MI's website at 2500 bucks.
I bought it during big billion days and got another 10% sweet discount. I was on look out for an air purifier as the pollen problem in Bangalore was aggravating my mom's asthma problem. And to add to it, for only God knows why, someone or the other will burn whatever left over they can find. I wasn't really sure whether it will make any difference. Unlike Delhi, Bangalore is not so bad, especially near the residential areas. Also the room still needs to have the air flow going. It will be useless if we have to close all the windows. During research, one thing was clear. To stay AWAY from those ionizers. They emit ozone in some amount. And it only adds to the allergy problems. That cut down the list by some. But still, I wasn't ready to part with 30k around about for an air purifier which I don't know will add value. Then came MI. With the exact configuration I wanted. It has been switched on and running since 10 days. NON STOP. The display shows exact 135 days left for filter change(showed 145 initially). Unfortunately, there is no timer functionality. May be some app update will bring that. The air condition wasn't too bad at my place to start with. The ppm value showed 90 when I plugged in. With the unit on it stays from 30-50 most of time. However, it doesn't trigger to a higher fan speed in auto even when the ppm reaches around 70. Wish we could configure the trigger for higher fan speeds in auto too. Fan speeds in sleep and auto are ideal. No problem in sleeping. There is a power mode as well. You can set the fan speed according to your room size. It really is powerful. Fan speeds go a long way! But of course it makes it noisy. About the advantages. Since the situation wasn't very bad to start with, there is no Aha moment when we walk in to the room. But definitely there is no odor. Also even during this short time frame, the asthma problems of my mom has gone down. Hopefully it is no placebo effect!
Super silent fan with mi home app for controlling. What else can get in 9th with Clean air to breathe
If you are confused between Atlanta Beta 350 and Mi Air Purifier 2 then just go with mi air purifier 2 and you won't regret.
This is my first MI product... Therefore was sceptical but after seeing HUGO BARRA'S presentation of this purifier, took the chance and bought it first day itself.. My experience so far:: Excellent product and does wat it is built for.. ie purify air... Bought it for mom, as she has asthma and it works wonders.... Hepa filter works like it should and MI SMART HOME app shows particulate matter count level on your smartphone and u can control ur purifier using ur home wifi.... LASTLY THESE SMART FEATURES AND SIMPLE DESIGN is a steal in just 10000 rs....So go for it.... Thinking of buying one more :)
