Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra launch timeline, display, design, battery and all other leaks
Redesigned pill-shaped camera island with upgraded vapour cooling.
First Galaxy Ultra with COE tech for thinner, brighter displays.
Expected 60W fast charging, Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, and 5,000mAh battery.
Samsung’s next flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G, is already stirring buzz months ahead of its expected launch. Reports suggest the handset will debut with a redesigned camera island and one of the most significant display upgrades we’ve seen on a Galaxy Ultra device in years. The device is rumoured to feature Samsung’s latest OLED tech powered by the advanced M14 material set. This upgrade could offer higher brightness levels, better colour accuracy, improved power efficiency, and longer display lifespan.
SurveyAccording to a report by Sammobile, the upcoming phone could be the company’s first non-foldable device with Colour on Encapsulation (COE) technology. COE integrates anti-reflective properties directly into the OLED layer, removing the need for a separate polariser. Samsung has used this in foldables since 2021, but its implementation in bar-style flagships could bring hinner panels and better outdoor visibility. Unlike the S25 Ultra, which relies on add-on privacy filters, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could get this in as a native feature.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G specs (Expected)
Tipster @UniverseIce has leaked that the flagship may support 60W wired fast charging paired with a 5,000mAh battery, a step up from the current 45W limit. The device is also expected to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset and an upgraded vapour cooling chamber.
On the design side, Samsung might ditch the familiar floating camera lenses in favour of a pill-shaped camera island, similar to the one found on the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
