Tata Teleservices is offering free voice minutes to customers for viewing ads on their mobile phones. Tata has tied up with mAdcall pvt Ltd, a sister concern of Astute systems, for the roll-out of new service.
The service will be available through GET mobile app, which works on GSM and CDMA networks. The app is compatible with all major platforms including Android, Java, Symbia and BlackBerry. Users can access the service over Wi-Fi as well.
The application enables video advertising on mobile and lets users choose when or where they want to view a commercial on their phone.
Mobile users opting the service will not be charged for data while using Tata Docomo Internet. The advertisement is supposed to play on the handset without buffering on 2G, 3G or CDMA network.
A company official said: “Users will be offered free voice minute, per advertisement viewed on their Docomo data enabled handset, for both pre—and post—pay customers.”
“Users will be instantly rewarded with one minute of local or national talk—time for each advertisement viewed.”
