Polaroid launches Kids Tablet 2

Polaroid has launched a new 7-inch Kids Tablet 2 running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and comes pre-loaded with 70 apps and games for kids. The launch date and price for the tablet in India has not been revealed yet.

The Kids Tablet 2 has a 7-inch HD display with 1024 x 600-pixels resolution and dual-core 1.6 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor. It has 1GB of RAM, and the 8 GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card support. The tablet has front and rear cameras for video chatting. On the connectivity front the tablet supports Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headphone jack, and inbuilt accelerometer sensor. Other features included are a built-in microphone and front-mounted speakers.

The tablet comes pre-loaded with numerous books, games and apps worth more than $100 in value. The Polaroid Kids Tablet 2 comes with 25 top-rated books and apps from Disney, Marvel and Cartoon Network. The tablet comes with a parental control panel that limits the access to inappropriate content.

"Children will now have the opportunity to experience an award winning device similar in specs to their parents' tablets, but designed specifically to their needs and pre-loaded with content they want from our new partners, Disney, Marvel and Cartoon Network."
