Computex 2012: Asus Tablet 810 and Tablet 600 bring Windows 8 to...

ASUS had impressed everyone with its hybrid tablet – notebook device – the ASUS Transformer sometime back.

At Computex 2012, ASUS has improved on the wow factor, by making Tablet 810 and Tablet 600, the first ASUS hybrid devices to sport Windows 8 operating system.

While the Tablet 810 houses an Intel Medfield processor, 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB eMMC for user storage; the Tablet 600 makes use of the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM and 32 GB eMMC for storage. Tablet 810 is an 11.6-inch screen whereas Tablet 600 is a 10.1-inch screen. Both displays are Super IPS panel and have a resolution of 1366x768 pixels.

It seems like 11.6-inch is the new standard tablet size, what with Acer also having its own Windows 8 tablet – the Acer Iconia W700 sporting 11.6-inches of full HD display.

Both the 810 and 600 come with a mobile dock that transforms these tablets into notebooks, housing a chiclet keyboard and a trackpad along with a USB 3.0 port.
