Antec has launched the Basiq Line of power supplies in India, an entry-level solution is expected to appeal to users with its low price, as well as its "reliable dual rail output system and best-in-class design." Three models are available right now, 350W, 450W, and 550W. [RELATED_ARTICLE]

Other features of the Basiq Line (VP range) of power supplies include Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) to counter power grid pollution, industrial grade protection circuitry for short circuits and over current/voltage/power protection, and silent 120mm fans for optimized cooling and reduced noise. The 450W model offers 82% power efficiency, while the 550W model offer 85% efficiency. All three models come with 2 year limited warranty.

Speaking on the launch, Christoph Katzer, Director of the Power Supply division at Antec, said: “With attractive price points and Antec Quality design, the Antec Basiq VP series effectively delivers the desired output for home and office PCs. For the best value in an entry-level PSU, the Antec Basiq VP series is the best choice.”

The power supplies are priced at the following MSRPs, and should be available at leading computer component stores across the country:

  • VP350P - Rs. 2,500
  • VP450P - Rs. 3,500
  • VP550P - Rs. 4,500
