Sony has added another smartphone to its budget line up, the Xperia E. The smartphone boasts of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean straight out of the box. The Xperia E is expected to hit store shelves early next year in two colours - black or champagne.
In terms of specifications under the hood, the xperia eWhere to buy 6081 7900 7999 has a 3.5-inch HVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 320. It has a 1GHz single-core snapdragon MSM7227A processor (also called the Snapdragon S1), 512MB RAM and 4GB built-in storage. The rear of the phone has a 3.2MP camera. The Xperia E has a curvy design and is quite light weighing a mere 115gms. It is quite thin too measuring at 11mm thin. It also has a 1500mAh battery.
Sony has also announced a dual-SIM version of the Xperia E, called the Xperia E dual. The specifications of the phone are the same with the biggest difference being that the E dual will work on Android 4.0 ICS straight out of the box and will be upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in at a future date.
Xperia E comes equipped with the in-built “WALKMAN” application that includes xLOUD audio technology, 3D surround sound and a manual equalizer. The smartphone also has access to Sony’s music streaming service, Music Unlimited. The Xperia E also comes with DLNA wireless connectivity.
