Porsche Design becomes the latest to mimic Microsoft's Surface offering with its new Book One Windows 10 notebook. At Mobile World Congress, Porsche Design announced its 2-in-1 convertible with a design language like Microsoft's Surface Book.

The Porsche Design Book One sports a unibody aluminium chassis with anodised finish. The 2-in-1 convertible comes with a 13.3-inch QHD+ IPD touch display that can not only be rotated 360-degrees, but also be detached for use as a tablet. The device is powered by Intel's 7th generation Core i7-7500U CPU coupled with 16GB RAM and 512GB noiseless Intel SSD storage.

As for ports, the Book One offers two USB-C ports and two full-size USB 3.0 ports. It also offers an extra USB 3.1 Type-C port with Thunderbolt 3 support. The convertible offers dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth for wireless communication. The Porsche Book One, like most other Windows devices, offers a 'precision' touchpad with multi-gesture support. The notebook also support digital stylus inputs optimised for use with Windows Ink. It also offers a 5MP camera integrated with infrared sensor for Windows Hello facial recognition.

The Porsche Book One will be available in Germany starting April 2017 for suggested retail price of €2,795. The Windows convertible will also be available in the US for $2,495 from Porsche Design Stores and select retailers in other countries.
