Flipboard 8.1 app is now available on the Windows store. The new app has been designed to match the Windows tablets and comes with Live Tile support. The new app is meant for devices running Windows 8.1. It will be compatible with any Windows Surface device as well as the Nokia Sirius tablet.

The app is similar to Flipboard's iOS and Android apps. The app allows you to flip through magazines, subscribe, add content to your magazines, and much more. The only difference is the Live Tile feature, through which users can get real-time updates on what’s been added to magazines, without opening up the app itself. Flipboard also tells the user how you can pin specific magazines or sections to your Windows home screen for quick access.

Users can swipe up from the bottom of the screen in order to display actions like Subscribe, Refresh, Edit, Flip It, and more on the Windows 8.1 app. If the user swipes down he can view other content modules or even look up magazines from contributors or recommended users to follow. The app also includes split screen support and has the ability to resize windows for multitasking and look up other stories and content.

Flipboard social magazine app recently launched catalogs in 11 different categories from different brands. The company has listed products from major brands like Banana Republic, Daniel Boulud (chef), Ebay and Sara Evans (singer). Flipboard has also teamed up celebrities to create personal catalogs featuring their personal favorites for the launch.
