ZOTAC announces supercharged GeForce 9800 GTX AMP

New ZOTAC GeForce 9800 GTX AMP! Edition takes single GPU announced

ZOTAC International (MCO), an NVIDIA AIC, announced it has raised the single GPU performance bar even higher with the new ZOTAC GeForce 9800 GTX AMP! Edition. Based on NVIDIA’s GeForce 9800 GTX graphics processor, the ZOTAC GeForce 9800 GTX AMP! Edition gives the GPU an extra shot of performance with supercharged core, memory and shader clock speeds.

The ZOTAC GeForce 9800 GTX AMP! Edition increases the core clock by 11-percent to 750 MHz for a healthy performance boost in DirectX 10 and OpenGL 2.1 based 3D games and applications. Memory performance also receives a 5-percent increase to 2.3 GHz to assist the increased graphics power.

NVIDIA Unified architecture forms the basis of the ZOTAC GeForce 9800 GTX AMP! Edition with 128 screaming-fast stream processors. The 128 stream processors up the ante on performance with blazing-fast 1.89 GHz shader clocks, making the ZOTAC GeForce 9800 GTX AMP! Edition a powerhouse for 3D performance.

“Our customers demand the fastest performance available from NVIDIA GPUs. Our ZOTAC GeForce 9800 GTX AMP! Edition features cream of the crop NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX GPUs that are screened for high-speeds,” said Carsten Berger, marketing director, ZOTAC International (MCO) Ltd. “The ZOTAC GeForce 9800 GTX AMP! Edition is the graphics card to get for users seeking the best single-card performance, with the ability to upgrade to SLI later-on.”

Additionally, the ZOTAC GeForce 9800 GTX AMP! Edition features NVIDIA HybridPower, 3-way SLI, GigaThread, Quantum Effects, second-generation PureVideo HD and PCI Express 2.0 technologies.
