AMD announces Dive 2008

AMD announced the roll out of \'Dive 2008\', a channel partner training program in India, targeting nearly 2000 partners from across 20 cities.

AMD announced the roll out of \'Dive 2008\', a comprehensive channel partner training program in India, targeting nearly 2000 partners from across 20 cities. \'Dive 2008\' will educate partners in the Computer Processing Group (CPG), Retail and Graphics Processing Group (GPG) on the recently announced AMD technologies and equip them with the required skills to enhance their productivity and profitability. 

\'Dive 2008\' has been initiated by AMD to educate the channel partners on the combined power of AMD\'s new products in the processor, graphics and chipsets space, unleashed in the next generation platforms and solutions from AMD.  Post the ATI acquisition, AMD has developed commercial platforms and solutions that combine microprocessors with ATI\'s strengths in graphics, chipsets and consumer electronics.  This quarter has seen the launch of the new technologies and products including the AMD Phenom range consisting of multi-core CPUs, ATI FireGL range of commercial level GPUs, Radeon 800 series of consumer GPUs and the AMD 780 series chipsets for motherboards.         

The program has been launched in Chennai and will soon be extended to partners in Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi and Bangalore in its first phase.  Later, it will be rolled out in other cities including Hyderabad, Pune, Ludhiana, Guwahati, Patna, Ahmedabad, Ranchi, Bhubaneshwar, Nagpur, Chandigarh, Indore, Surat, Trivandrum and Coimbatore in next phases. 

Speaking at the launch of the program, Deepanshu Sharma, General Manager, Marketing, Strategy and ISV Alliances, AMD India, said, "Dive 2008 is an excellent platform to understand the depth of our technology offerings in order for partners to educate customers on the right choice. In addition, the program will also impart specific training to grow the business of our partners and help them provide value added services to consumers."
