Mac version for SimCity delayed until August

Electronic Arts and developer Maxis have officially confirmed that the Mac version of the SimCity game has now been delayed until August, in order to ensure a better gaming experience for players.

The publisher and developers have revealed details of what they are tweaking in the game, which includes a Historic Price chart for Global Market resources, a new region Wall chat update, better control over utilities, new Regional Achievements, and other changes.

You can get a list of all the new updates in the upcoming SimCity on the EA Maxis SimCity website. The SimCity 5 update is expected to roll out in a couple of weeks and in response to the delay Maxis says, "We have made this tough decision because we do not believe it is ready for primetime yet,”-”We want to ensure the Mac is a great experience for our players and that is why we are taking more time.”

The launch of the game in March was crammed with server issues resulting in poor gameplay experience. As of now EA seems to have fixed the bugs and users are playing the game as intended.Meanwhile, the updated PC version will be out shortly in a couple of weeks with improved multiplayer functions including commuting between cities and regional unlocks.
