Gearbox has released a pass to prevent loss of data caused due to a third party app, which has plagued Borderlands 2 gamers.
The exploit was affecting gamers by deleting their progress or characters entirely. The program was affecting only the Xbox users while the PS3 and PC users were unaffected.
The Gearbox support page has an update, which says, “You can download the latest update by launching Borderlands 2 while connected to Xbox LIVE. You will be prompted to install the update if you do not already have the latest version. All updates are cumulative; you only need to install the most recent version to receive all updates.”
11/6/12 Update reads, “Added security to prevent data loss tied to malicious violations of the Xbox Live Code of Conduct through an unsupported third-party program.”
The Gearbox official forum has also been updated with information about the new patch. It reads: “Recently a few users have begun violating the Xbox Live Code of Conduct by using an external application to maliciously disrupt the experience and sabotage characters of legitimate Borderlands 2 players on xbox 360Where to buy 600 1520 5640.
