Look like Duke Nukem is at it again with a Facebook update titled “Duke Nukem doesn't stay down for long”, accompanied by a picture captioned “D-Day [sic] Pics”. This ensures that Duke Nukem Forever [DNF] retains its reputation for perhaps being the longest running project in the history of gaming history, since it was first announced way back in 1997. It seemed like the ghost of Duke Nukem would finally be put to rest, when 3D Realms announced that they had let go of DNF’s entire development staff due to lack of funding. However, 3D Realms maintains that they have “...not closed and is not closing. 3DR retains ownership of the Duke Nukem franchise”.
