You need to just buy the original games. Thats it. In India, everyone plays CS and CS:S. So, I'll suggest you to get about 10 steam IDs and order 10 copies

I don't have any answers about this.

Every Cyber Cafe is required to maintain a register/log for that.

Would depend upon the rules and regulations of the locality where you are opening the Cafe. Some markets close at 7pm, some don't.

Regarding games, I'll suggest you to register for 10 steam IDs for each computer through Steam Cafe Program and then buy 10 copies of CS & CS:S which are Valve games. You might also like to buy the Orange Box.

You'll be needing a very good Gigabit Ethernet switch. A 24-port Gigabit Ethernet switch costs about Rs.10k.

Regarding the server. Please tell what will you be doing on it? Running it 24x7? Simply managing the clients? Or hosting games? (games can be hosted by the people on game PCs itself) Or would you also like to pop-in to play games with the people from your server itself?

One thing is for sure, it surely needs a strong multi-tasking processor.

Set aside 50k for the server.

Other people will be able to suggest this better.

    Now we have 4 - 0.6 = 3.4lac for 10 machines.

CS 1.6 is Rs.270. CS:S is Rs.500. (I got them for this price, long time ago)

You mean a Cyber Cafe management software?

Few from Internet shops; some from retail.

Don't forget you'll be also needing a strong UPS too. One more question, do you only have one floor of 150 sq. feet or multiple?

    Mother Board: GA-880GM-UD2H 5K

    Mouse: Razer DeathAdder 2K
CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus 2K
Head Phone: Normal headphone Under 0.2K

Regarding Hard Disk, WD Blue performs better than WD Green.

A normal 22" LCD Full HD monitor like BenQ G2220 for 7.5k is good enough. You are losing value here. Going for a cheaper monitor would let you invest in a better Graphic card like GTX 460.

If you want to save money, go for Logitech MX518 for 1.4k

XFX to be avoided as it's RMA is handled by Rashi Peripherals. And going for GTX 460 is a must if you are ready to spend 42k on a single machine. (which tells me that you also want to offer graphic intensive games)

The configuration posted by toad_frog09 was decent. You can simply add the gaming mouse of your choice or an additional 2GB DDR3 RAM to it.

Under your budget, AMD gives the best value. You can only squeeze in the Intel Core i3-530 without extending the budget to which AMD Athlon II X4 635 is superior.

It is the efficiency which matters. Have a look at this thread: http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum/hard...er-supply.html A good SMPS will also save your electricity bill due to it's good efficiency or less wastage of power.

Do you really think those 700w Desi SMPS available for Rs.700 are good? Cooler Master Extreme Series has given problems to many.

Yes, for a cyber cafe...I think it will be.

I've got a Zapak gaming cafe near my house and heck they have 17" Wipro LCD screens. Never bothered to know more about the config, but they are decent.

"Because I have Heard That There Are Gaming Issue With Both. Some Games Runs On AMD Good And Some Games Run On Intel Good...
    "

    My Reply:
Not true, 'issues' as in games works slow is due to less powered CPU (considering same GPU), in comparision with better ones. Rest all the games work same.
    AMD is preferable due to...
    a) low cost as compared to intel.
    b) cheaper motherboards boards.
    c) most of the current cpu's are based on AM3 socket.
    .
    .
"So Within The Budget Am Thinking For 4 AMD + 4 Intel + 1 Server...
    "
    My Reply:
DON'T. If this is a gaming cafe, then 5 + 5 pcs are but utmost necessary for clan matches. (no body plays 4 on 4.)

Besides, more pc's means greater profit.
    .

    .
    Oh no. Hehe. Justa joke.

    .
    .
"CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 635 (2.9 GHz)"
My Reply: Does not exists. Its athlon x4 635, or phenom x2 555.
    .
    Mother Board: GA-880GM-UD2H @ 5K
    RAM:G-Skill 2GB (1333MHz) (With Heat Sink) 2.3K

My Reply: Either price is wrong or you ment 500gb.
    .
Graphic Card: XFX Radeon HD 5770 HD-577X-ZNFC 8.9K
    My Reply:GTX 460 768mb is better.
    .
Cabinet: Cooler Master Elite 360 2K
My Reply:Is the price right? Is the model number right? Anyway, get CM elite 310 @1.5k or NZXT Gamma @2k.
    Btw, 0.5k x 10 = 5k = 5000rs.
    .
Power Supply: Cooler Master 600W eXtreme Power Series 3.4K
My Reply: Eer...cooler master psu <shudder>. The corsair piece i mentioned is way, way better than this crap. Dont trust me, make a new thread asking the same question.
    .
    Monitor: Acer S231HL 23” LED 10K
My Reply: LCD monitors give near similar performance at low cost. LED monitors are just more thinner. And the piece I mentioned, g2220, is the best vfm monitor in market.
    Btw, 2.5k x 10 = 25k = 25000 rs.
    .
Keyboard: Microsoft Or Logitech Normal Keyboard 0.5K
    .
    Mouse: Razer DeathAdder 2K
My Reply: Completely unnecessary as almost all of the gamers carry their own gaming rodents.
Besides, even if you get deathadders, and people like me come by, 4 to 5 mice would dissapear in a day.
    .
CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus 2K
My Reply: Yet completely unnecessary as far as overclocking is concerned. If you wont overclock. Dont buy. If you do over clock. Dont buy, as 212+ is only marginally better than stock.
Better go for costlier ones @~3.5 k.
    Btw, 3.5k x 10 = 35k = 35000.
    .
Head Phone: Normal headphone Under 0.2K

    .
    Total : 43,000 X 4 = 1,72,000/-

My Reply: I still find MX518 better mice with good vfm.
    .

By the time i'm don writing, 5-6 new msgs get posted.
My deepest apologies if points get repeated in my posts..
    .
Btw, yes 2 x 2 gbs of ram would be great.
I made the 10 pcs around 3.5 lack so that 50k were saved for the server.
    .
@op- you are also gonna need a generator for powerback up.

thats better. but i'll suggest reserve a bit more than 50k for server. cause i not much aware of server hardware price, but definitely its going to be costly.

i think you spending money blindfolded. as you can get similar performance for lot less the price. check this:

    CPU: Athlon II X3 435 2.9GHz @ 3.5k
    Mother Board: Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-US2H or 880GM-UD2H @ 4.3/4.6k
    RAM: Kingstone/Corsair Value ram 2Gb DDR3 single stick @ 2.2k
    Hard Disk: WDC Blue 500Gb @ 2k
    Graphic Card: GTS 450 1Gb @ ~8k
    Cabinet: CM Elite 310 + 1 extra fan @ 1.8k
Power Supply: FSP Saga II 400W @ 2k (maybe less)
Monitor: 20" from Dell or Benq @ 6.5k
Keyboard: Microsoft Or Logitech Normal Keyboard @ 0.7k
Mouse: Razer DeathAdder @ 2k (your choice, unchanged)
    CPU Cooler: -
Head Phone: Normal headphone Under @ 0.2k

TOTAL: 33.3k (take it to be 33.5k w/o tax)

So for 10 machine you have 3.35lakh. so you still got lots of money to go for a good server. also this system won't be slow. suggested the best cheap value yet moderate performance parts available in Indian market

    Points:

    1. you not need quad core if sole purpose is gaming. a tri core fits the bill best.
    2. why you need 1Tb? will you install so many games? i think 500Gb will be enough for now. add 1Tb to each system @ 2011.
    3. AVOID XFX. AVOID RASHI. AVOID TENSION IN LIFE.
    4. 360 is a mini tower. way too small.
    5. ICO already told everything about the PSU. the FSP age good & efficient (but inferior to Corsair) so expect a bit lower bill (electricity).
    6. 23"? WHY? 20". its best. so that gamers can game max out. not settling for slower FSP or lower details.
    7. Good choice for mouse
    8. why you need a CPU cooler? are you making a gaming cafe or a Overclocking cafe?

don't forget, newer games will ask more horse power. & so will be forced run at lower resolution (something gamers are sure to hate)

those machines won't eat more than 300W. so even a 350W PSU will do but i'll suggest a 400-450W so under load the PSU don't go up in flames

absolutely correct. this a very good way to keep cost down. else if OP wants UPS for 8-10 machines & server, he'll end up spending more than 4k easily. though i not know how much a descent generator cost

I'll tell you about my personal preference. I actually run every game on my 19" 1440x900 aspect ratio monitor @ 1024x768 resolution with full stretch. I feel heads appear more 'stretched' and I get better headshots.

Hey does anybody even reads my posts?
Comeon guys,I type it in cellphone. Thats quite a hard work. My thumbs are swollen everynight.
    .
    Anyway,
I'd again like to put light on the mice segment. Please reread my post and comment as am too lazy to type it out again.
    .
Also, I'd again like to focus light on my mighty disappoval over 4+4=8 rig setup. Read my posts. Please.
    .
    Comeon, atleast the decoration part.
    .
Next, I think a tri core will suffic. But regarding the GTX450 + 20" monitor.
I think 460 + 22" would be a better option since 450 might fall for upcoming games.
    .
Btw, your rig got me confused actually sham bhai, as obviously 20" screen (over 22") saves 10k.
And I still am pretty sure that op will get a lot of discount on such huge purchase.
    How about gtx460(@10)+20" monitor?
    .
Regarding the server, I dont think op will be using an actual 'server' server as his front desk pc.
I mean the cafe i visit has got an old intel dual core as the server.
Could someone tell me what can be the actual uses of server pc(the costly ones).
    .
    A generator costs a tractor.
Well, not the electricity producing part but that which pollutes, creates deafning noise and is fuel(disel) hungry.
    .
The cafe i earlier mentioned got itself 13, huge battries. @ around 1.5-2lacks.
The owner told me he's been in profit since the power never goes out.
    .
Has anyone tried steelseries xai? Or razer abyssus, or lachesis or roccat kova?
    .
Btw, how do think of buying an xbox360 aswell?? Huh? Huh?

    @systechsolution

    look friend....
the rig mentioned above are all good
since you will be running a gamedrome so kids will be mostly playing multiplayer
and theres a thing in multiplayer matches....the overall settings are kept quite low in such a manner that every machine synchronizes well with each other without any sort of lags

so what i mean is u can go for sam's suggestion so as to save a good amount of money
with that money u can build a nice server

NOTE:SERVER HAS TO BE GOOD ENOUGH TO HANDLE 8-10 PCs
    SO SPEND WISELY ON SERVER

    Hey toad_frog09...
Dont Mine Dude, I have Read You Post And Its Quite Well..
Secondly About Decoration You Have Helped Alot..

So Finally I Have Made This Configuration For My PC's
Note: You Can Correct Me If Am Wrong Without Hesitation...

    01 - Mother Board Gigabyte 880GM-UD2H 4.8K
    02 - CPU AMD Athlon II X4 635 (2.9 GHz) 4.5K
    03 - Ram Gskill F3-12800CL9D-4GB 4.5K
    04 - GPU Zotac GeForce® GTS 450 (1GB) 8.2
    05 - HDD Western Digital 500GB (Blue Edition) 2K
    06 - PSU Corsair VX450 3.8K
    07 - Cabinet NZXT Gamma 2K
    08 - Monitor BenQ G2220HD 22” 7.5K
    09 - Mouse Razer DeathAdder 2K
    10 - Keyboard Logitech Normal 0.5K
    11 - Headphone Any Local One 0.2K

    Total 40,000 X 8PC = 3,20,000/-

As I Told You Earlier That My Budget Is Total Of 5 Lacs....
4 Lacs For PCs And 1 For Interior..

So Here 8 PC Is Costing As 3.2 Lacs And We Are Saving 80K, So We Can Use It In Our Network And Server System...
I Would Like To Tell You That I Will Not Be Having Internet Connection Due To Local Police Issue...
We Will Be Plying CS And War Craft Specially On LAN...

So Guys Can You Just Answer This???

1 - What Will Be The Use Of My Server? (I Really Don't Know)
2 - What Will Be Its Configuration?
3 - What Should I Prefer Router Or Switch?
4 - Which Model Or Company Will Be Better?
5 - What Type Of LAN Wires Are Best To Play Games Without Lag?

Secondly I Don't Need Any UPS Or Generator Because I Live In Main Mumbai And Here There Is No Issue Of Power Failure... Thanks God :-P ...

    Waiting For The Replies????????

CS:S, which I played through my brother's steam account. I'm a Quake 3 fan, so CS is too slow for me. I played Urban Terror because it was free + fun and now I've switched to TF2 (steam). I'm considered an Asian legend in UrT.

Use the broadband router which you'll get from your ISP with the Gigabit Ethernet switch I suggested before.

If you have a decent Gigabit Ethernet switch, then expect everything to run lag free.

Seriously I Don't Know What I Will Prefer It For...
My View Is That I Will Use It For Data backup + Cybercafe Management Software To maintain All The PC Records + And Finally For My Personal Gaming...
I Told Earlier That I Will Not Be Having Internet So There Will Be Only Lan Games.. No Hosting or Creating Olnine Server... But In Future I Will Make My Own CS Server For My Games Point... I Think So Within 2-3 Month with my Own PC And Internet But Am Not Damn Sure.. Its All Depends On Police here... There Are Just F**K Off...

from what i've seen. PC game cafe's don't survive for long and need a lot of maintenence.
With that budget your best option would be to go the console way.

Get Xbox360's with LCD TV's and you can easily find original games for the consoles.
Consoles don;t need upgrades to run new games and have a at least a 3 yr warranty

as far as police is concerned, get the closing times checked from the nearest police station.

If you still want to go for PC gaming then Steam is the best Platform to go.
But again you will need an internet connection to at least activate/register the games. Steam also provides an option for game cafe's.
Even if you wish to run offline you will need original copies of the games or you can get into trouble. Keep in mind that cs is a steam game and requires online activation.

Am Really Not Interested In Console Gaming Right Now.

Basically you only need a router when you want to "route the internet" among the machines. Else, a switch is enough to set up LAN.

I'd suggest keeping internet for online games instead of just lan matches. Individual players may not like playing alone.

If you are going to use games such as CS, even IGPs will run it perfectly. Unless you go for games like crysis, far cry 2, mass effect etc. you don't need high end gfx cards.

You don't need 4GB ram for gaming at all for the time being.

As for the headphones i'd suggest investing a bit more in them as they are really important in terms of comfort. For individual PCs i'd sugest the following -

    CPU: Athlon II X3 440 3GHz @ 3.5k
    Mother Board: Gigabyte 880GM-UD2H @ 4.5k
    RAM: Kingstone/Corsair Value ram 2Gb DDR3 single stick @ 2k
    Hard Disk: WDC Blue 500Gb @ 1.8k
    Graphic Card: ATI radeon HD 5670 1GB @ 6k
    Cabinet: NZXT gamma + 1 extra fan @ 2.3k
Power Supply: FSP Saga II 400W @ 2k
    Monitor: Benq G2220HD @ 8k
    Keyboard + Mouse: Logitech MX 518 + Logitech multimedia @ 2k
Head Phone: Headphone cum mic from logitech / philips @ 0.7k

    TOTAL: 30.8k
By bulk buying it should cost around 3 lakhs.
If you want you can upgrade the gfx card to nvidia GTX 460 and PSU to corsair vx 450 for 12.5k and 3.7k but it will be seriously overkill and the processor may be a bottleneck.
